From Grand Master J.J. Lee’s beginnings in Chungdokwan, Master Lee developed our method of Taekwondo – Chungdokwan while teaching, and instructing, at the highest levels!
Through the synergistic support and symbiosis of the brain and muscles, training students gain a level of fitness that literally changes their body at a cellular level! …From the flexibility of the muscles and joints, through the strengthening of the tiny support muscles, to the circulation of the blood to the furthest parts of the body (thus removing built up toxins) …your body changes, with these changes leading to a healthier and happier you!

The Calgary Martial Art of Chungdokwan emphasizes All-Natural Body Movements, thus allowing the practitioner more; Power, Speed, Balance & Flexibility…WITH LESS INJURIES… which = More Confidence
When you’re walking, your body moves forward in a natural way, creating body mass momentum. We teach that when you’re punching, for example, your body mass and your punch should both be moving forward. That natural body mass momentum adds power, speed and timing to your punches and kicks, while your natural movement means less chance of injury.
Chungdokwan, a Fun, Fitness based, Self Defense Method, is one of the most effective Martial Arts Styles… instructing a Method for Protecting Yourself from Potentially Dangerous Situations.
During training, and through traditional instruction, students learn both traditional and modern, Taekwondo – Chungdokwan techniques!
As well as techniques, the student will also learn situational awareness, and learn to read and understand potential areas and persons of concern.

Family-oriented, with instruction in a fun, friendly, relaxed and enthusiastic atmosphere, our Calgary Martial Art curriculum allows students to train at their own pace, and is structured to encourage all people, no matter what their age, to begin training and continue training, throughout their lives.
Many a parent has registered their child, or children, in our program, only to find that instead of observing their family training, they get excited to start training themselves. This has led to our school having a significant number of families training together, leading to closer and exciting relationships.
